LexTran Service Changes Coming in January

Do you rely on Lextran for your daily needs? Some changes are coming in the new year in the form of shorter ride times thanks to expanded Sunday service. ‘Combo Routes’ have caused lengthy Sunday commutes; on January 3rd, these will be separated into bi-directional routes similar to that which run on Saturdays.

This is the result of a year-long process in response to rider requests and to reflect Lextran’s understanding that their passengers time is precious.

Here are some of the changes you can expect:

TROLLEY SERVICE
Green / Blue Routes suspended due to low passenger use.
ROUTE 16 (Southland Dr. / BCTC)
revised to include parts of Route 31 (Alexandria Crosstown)
Will service HealthFirst Clinic on Southland Dr.
Will ServiceUK Healthcare at Turfland Mall.
BCTC Academic Technical Building stop moved to University Dr. @ Cooper Dr.
ROUTE 15 (Red Mile)
Service hours extended from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., when UK spring semester begins.
