“Educate para tu Futuro” is a Bryan Station High School Initiative lead by Mrs. Marisol Valles-Family and Community District Liaison for Fayette County Schools as well as students of BSHS. Educate Para Tu Futuro is a Spanish and English radio show with the intent to inform parents regarding a variety of academic and educational topics, to help them better understand the school system in the United States as well as provide them with the tools and opportunities that they need to help their children become successful in their studies to ultimately graduate from High School and continued post-secondary education. Also, by having students involved in the radio show we are empowering them to be involved and become future leaders of our community.
The show started in August of 2016 and has been of great help for many parents in our community. Mrs. Valles believes that the best investment we can do in our life is to invest in our children’s education. Educate para tu Futuro is live every Thursday at 4pm-5pm and it will re-air every Sunday at 5pm. Currently we have the same show in English “Educate Yourself for the Future” a WLXU 93.9 FM every Sunday from 11:30am-12pm.
Tune into Educate Yourself For The Future from 12-1 pm Tuesdays on WLXU 93.9 FM!

Chef Ouita Michel, wine expert Chris Michel and food writer Rona Roberts talk with guests about all parts of a healthy local food system: cooking and eating with loved ones, growing or finding Kentucky’s good locally grown foods, and caring for the earth that gives us all our needs. Think bourbon, sorghum, and cornmeal (with oysters and the occasional lemon squeezed in).
